Everybody loves Paul Newman. And everybody loves Robert Redford (in this movie at least)

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid is an exceptional film – and the song choice of BJ Williams’ Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head is simply perfect.

NB. We love Steve McQueen but in this – Paul Newman did all his own bike stunts.

A truly brilliant moment for music and cinema. Not least because Kate Hudson isn’t unbearable. On a side note…anything that has Jason Lee in it is instantly resplendent.

However, we have now caught up with the rest of the planet – and we agree!

Drive is incredible. The soundtrack equals it in its splendidness…and this song moves us, coz you know, we’re real human beings. AND heroes no less.

Such is the wonder of the BAFTAS.

However, the Oscars this year did throw up one timeless gem. One nugget of utter brilliance. A undoubtedly fully deserved victory. Albeit from a category of two.
