Hopefully, this one will ease your stresses. It seems quite fitting too in these oddly wet months.

They say that two things are certain in this world. I agree.

Everybody loves Paul Newman. And everybody loves Robert Redford (in this movie at least)

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid is an exceptional film – and the song choice of BJ Williams’ Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head is simply perfect.

NB. We love Steve McQueen but in this – Paul Newman did all his own bike stunts.

Well well well…let’s go all out awesome this week. The best part of a great song united with the last sequence of an utterly great movie. With it’s delicate and beautiful piano melody, sitting in stark contrast to the subject matter it resides over, we give you the end of Layla by Derek and The Dominos from the Scorsese masterpiece Goodfellas.

Fewer endings have moved so many men.

If you haven’t seen Goodfellas – you’re a fool. However, fool you may be, do not watch this clip. You’ll only ruin the taste of brilliance for yourself.

But only coz sooooooo many people wanted to watch this film with us we had to wait until we were altogether, an unlike organising a piss up in a brewery (which we succesfully do every Saturday) this proved to be alot more problematic to arrange.

However, we have now caught up with the rest of the planet – and we agree!

Drive is incredible. The soundtrack equals it in its splendidness…and this song moves us, coz you know, we’re real human beings. AND heroes no less.

Note, this is NOT a spoiler clip…

Such is the wonder of the BAFTAS.

However, the Oscars this year did throw up one timeless gem. One nugget of utter brilliance. A undoubtedly fully deserved victory. Albeit from a category of two.

Best Original Song.

The winner – The genius of ‘Man or Muppett’ by Bret Mckenzie. Taken from the masterful The Muppets. Delight in this.
